We had to wait a long time for new music from the magical Alin Coen wait, because a live album was last released in 2016. Now the first lady of the German singer-songwriter scene has reported back with a first single. “Flammable” is an extremely fine ballad that sums up the pain of unrequited love. The first notes sound quite reduced and after the first line it appears as if Alin had never left. Every word penetrates you and the gentle accompaniment gives the clear voice of the singer the necessary space. In the music video, Alin Coen is driven by her feelings through a quiet Berlin night, where she gives herself completely to pain. “I understand that you are not flammable. Only that the insight is far too painful for me. That your heart does not burn for me, even though it knows the fire in my heart ”, they say and between the lines you can almost hear how a heart splinters.

The long wait is over: Alin Coen is back

It is precisely these painful tones and words that Alin Coen has become known for. Like no other, she finds metaphors for inexplicable grief. So far, both English and German titles have been included on their albums. With the coming Album "Nah" For the first time there will be a completely German-language record and after all it is also the songs with which Alin has enchanted us most in the past.
Due to the Corona crisis, Alin Coen's tour was recently postponed from autumn to next year - then she will finally present the new pieces that have been so much desired live - here you can find the new dates.
