The electro-pop duo Etna released their new single "Smile" at the beginning of October. Inéz Schäfer and Demian Kappenstein are again breaking completely new ground. At Etna, no song resembles the other, the inclined fan knows that. In spite of everything, Smile should be a real surprise, because you can hardly put more electronics into a song. Drums are completely dispensed with, instead the piece runs through spherical melodies and effects, with distorted voices, some of which seem so strange that the listener has to give up looking for familiar sounds, but simply has to let himself be carried away.

Despite the adverse circumstances, the song is about the search for a smile. For the good in all this chaos. Etna describe the piece as follows:

“Smile is a metaphor for acceptance, even when it's hard, and knowing that you can't control everything, and believing that maybe everything has a purpose. Just like a rainbow desperately needs the rain to shine in all its colorful glory. "

The accompanying video of Etna is just as distorted as the sound of “Smile”. If all of this is not enough for you, you can take a look over at Marteria. For the song “Love; peace an happiness ”lent Inéz her voice.
