8 artists embark upon a musical mission
At the Artists In Residence Festival we want to create a space for encounters to last – among artists and between music and audience, in the unique surroundings of Corfu.
At TV Noir we always thrive to shape special situations and capture the magic moment. The heart of this is the artists’ music which becomes the soundtrack of this shared adventure.
We are looking forward to supporting and accompanying eight artists over the course of two weeks (four artists each week) by recording special live versions their songs shot at different beautiful locations. In a collaborative process we will celebrate the passion of music making that combines us. The grand final of the journey will be a concert in front of an audience on the island.

We love to design the setting for musical adventures and have come to master the art of doing so.
Whether as a multi-day trip, a glamorous show at the Admiralspalast or comfortably from home in the TV Noir headquarters, we are all about creating and experiencing unforgettable concerts.

Inspiration: schwarzfahrt 2019.
This trip throughout Bavaria in 2019 serves as inspiration and source of experience for the upcoming trip to Corfu.
Back then: 2 artists. 8 days. 8 adventures.
In June 2019, we went on a musical adventure through Bavaria in collaboration with Hamburg-based lemonade producer fritz-kola.

Passing picturesque villages, climbing the beautiful hills of Corfu, we capture the vastness of the Greek landscape by drone and finally record some songs during sunset.

TV Noir has a long-standing tradition of inviting artists to perform a cover song. To make sure that this feature will also be included, we add the cover song challenge to the musical journey. The community can actively send in suggestions, from which the artists can then create their very own cover versions.

Why Corfu?
The area in the north of Corfu where we will be staying holds a unique charm. The incredibly beautiful, verdant landscape is touching. Some time ago, a community of Sannyasin had formed here, which has attracted many people who engage in all kinds of art and spirituality over the years. Thus, in a manageably large area, there is a wide range of breathtaking scenery, very dedicatedly maintained places and impressive as well as exceptionel people here. TV Noir founder Tex is close friends with the scene.

We are accomodated in the house ‘Mandala Yoga’, a beautiful old villa in the tiny mountain village of Magoulades, which is about 10 minutes by car or bike from the beach. There is a lovely garden and the masonry of an old olive press, which can be the home base for rehearsals, recordings and small concerts.
We look forward to an unforgettable journey!
